TRIANGULATION AND TIME-OF-FLIGHT BASED 3D DIGITISATION TECHNIQUES OF CULTURAL HERITAGE STRUCTURES

Abstract. This study aims to introduce triangulation and ToF measurement techniques used in three-dimensional modelling of cultural heritages. These are traditional photogrammetry, SfM approach, laser scanning time-of-flight camera. The computer based approach photogrammetric that is named creates dense point cloud data a short time. It low-cost very easy application. However photogrammetry needs huge effort for creating 3D wire-frame model. On the other hand active such as terrestrial scanner camera have also been more than twenty years. Each one has specific accuracy effectiveness. large or small structures different characters, require proper configurations. In this study, after these methods introduced, their superior weak properties heritage make high accuracy, density labour cost effective measurement.
